There is something deeply moving about the image of people lifting one another up. rather through prayer, a word of encouragement or a beautiful sculpture.  I envision a powerful representation of community, encouragement, and support. It reminds me that none of us were meant to walk this journey alone. We are all connected, and sometimes, we need to lean on others just as they lean on us.
Scripture speaks to this beautifully. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says, “Two are better than one… If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.” This verse highlights the importance of relationships built on trust, love, and a willingness to support each other. Likewise, Galatians 6:2 urges us to “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.” To me, this means that showing kindness, offering a helping hand, and being a shoulder for someone else to lean on is not just a good deed—it’s part of living out our faith.
I can recall moments in my own life when I needed support, and God placed people around me who lifted me up. Whether through words of encouragement, a listening ear, or a simple act of kindness, their presence reminded me of God’s love in action. And there have been times when I have been blessed to do the same for others. It is a cycle of love that continues to grow when we choose to uplift those around us.
Today, I am grateful for the people who have stood beside me, lifted me up, and reminded me of God’s faithfulness. I also want to be intentional about being that person for someone else. Who in my life needs encouragement today? Who can I extend a helping hand to? Perhaps it is through a kind word, a prayer, or simply being present.
I encourage you to take a moment to reflect—who has been a shoulder for you? How have you seen God’s love through the support of others? And how can you be that presence in someone else’s life today?
May we all continue to lift each other up, reflecting the love and grace that God so freely gives.
